I’m single again…

This anxiety I have now that I’m alone is really overwelming..

At times like these, it would be easy to just jump to a new relationship but that is just going to be pointless and harsh.

I’m going to follow my original plan, i don’t see a point in investing time in a new relationship.

The worst part about this is Mary Elizabeth’s face. You firstly see her looking flushed and embarrassed, knowing he’s going to kiss her just because she’s his girlfriend, so of course, she’s going to be the “prettiest” girl in the room; You can slowly see her face contort when she realizes, “No, he doesnt like you.” It’s one of the most heart breaking things, only because I think we’ve all been there, where you thought someone liked you, but you were completely utterly wrong.

Shopping with my international friend

Yesterday, my international friend, W, her friend, and I went to the mall to find something for her to wear for today’s party. She was really excited. We all were.

We went to the mall on Tyler which had the biggest F21 I’ve ever seen. This F21 took over the Macy’s store so you could imagine how I was almost 100% confident that she would find something here. Boy, was I wrong…

W isn’t fat but she isn’t thin either. She is on the borderline of the smallest plus size and the largest straight size. I knew f21 had a plus size line, so I wasn’t too concerned.

We started off looking through the straight sizes since it made up 90% of the store. I could tell W loved the neon look and so we tried looking for a bright yellow top for her. The sizes only went up to 10/12. W was a size 14/16.

We spent 2 hours at that store looking for something before we decided to just look at the plus size section. That fking plus size section was so small that it looked like everything could fit in a tiny closet. I was so annoyed.

Nothing was cute. Nothing she wanted to wear fit her. Nothing that fit her was good enough to buy.

What a let down.

We went to other stores in this mall including JCP, EXPRESS, MACY’S, LOFT, TORRID, etc

All the normal stores (Jcp, macy’s, etc) had such a limited supply of plus sized clothing! In fact, JCP only had a wall designated to plus size. NOTHING was cute.

What the actual FUCK?

I never felt so upset shopping before (besides the time when I used to get panic attacks at the mall). I never knew how LIMITED plus size clothing were. Why is this so? Everything I brought to her didn’t fit.

I felt so shit that day. We spent over 3 hours in that mall and we had to settle on an ill fitting blazer because W didn’t want to look anymore. She looked like she was on the verge of tears but she held it together.

This isn’t fair.

I knew that Plus sized women had it tough but this is just ridiculous.

We need more plus size designers and more companies to cater to plus size women. We need there to be more selection and more of that in stores.
